Dettori To Test French Ground

Khalid Abdullah’s eye-catching G3 Tercentenary S. winner Time Test (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), who was most recently fourth in the G1 Juddmonte International Aug. 19, could make his next appearance in the G1 Prix de Moulin de Longchamp Sept. 13, pending a ground test from jockey Frankie Dettori. The jockey said he is riding out in France Sunday, and would report back to trainer Roger Charlton on the conditions.

“The plan is to give Roger some feedback on the ground after that,” Dettori explained. “Roger has left him in the Moulin, but the long-term plan is the [GI] Breeders’ Cup Mile. Everything is ground-dependent, as Roger does not want to run him on slow ground as he thought he was impeded by the slow ground in the Juddmonte International.”

Time Test, who has won twice over 10 furlongs this year, would be dropping back in distance to a mile for the Moulin. The Juddmonte International is 10.5 furlongs.
